Best MLB Prop Bets - Monday 8/8/22

Major League Baseball has a light day of action on Monday with only seven games across the board. Despite only a few games we still have a large amount of MLB props to choose from.

The top props we focus in on is an All Star catcher to continue to lead his team and a NRFI in the American League between two elite arms.

Wilson Contreras was expected to be traded at the deadline but remains with the Chicago Cubs for the rest of the season. Contreras comes into Monday as one of the better hitters in the Chicago lineup with a .250 batting average to go along with a team leading .363 OBP.

Contreras seems to have turned a new leaf following the deadline as he is going through the best streak of his season. Chicago will be up against a bad team with a bad picture as Wilson Contreras will find his way on base more than once to accumulate more than two bases.

The New York Yankees will again take on the Seattle Mariners Monday night in Seattle for game one of their series. New York will send out Jamison Taillon carrying a 10-2 record overall with a 3.96 ERA this season. Taillon will do enough early to maneuver through the Seattle line up and get a shutout in the first inning.

Seattle will counter with Logan Gilbert carrying a 3.09 ERA and a 10-4 record this year. Gilbert has been the best pitcher on the Seattle staff and will bounce back on Monday from a rough outing in his last game. Gilbert will do enough in the first inning to post a 0 in the score column.

Take the NRFI Monday night in Seattle as both pitchers will come out strong and keep the lineups quiet early.
