The Best KBO Bets for July 5th as we follow up America’s holiday with big card on Korean Baseball.
LG Twins at Samsung Lions
The LG Twins lost a heart breaker yesterday to the Samsung Lions, falling 7-6 in 12 innings to drop the Tigers record on the season to 27-22. The Lions improved to 29-24 leaving both teams 7 games back of the Dinos who lead the KBO thus far this season.
Both teams have solid pitchers taking the mound with the Twins sending out Jung Chan-heon who is 4-1 with a 2.56 ERA on the season and is 1-0 against the Lions on the year after going 7 scoreless innings and allowing just 3 hits last time he faced the Lions. Taking the hill for the Lions is Choi Chae-heung who is 5-2 on the season with a 3.43 ERA and went 6 scoreless innings allowing just 4 hits and striking out 6 his last time out.
The Lions are a struggling offense and is just hitting .264 as a team scoring 276 runs this season which ranks 7th in the KBO. The Twins as a team are hitting .274 as a team and have scored 283 runs this season which is 4th in the KBO.
Both teams are evenly matched, and it shows with the line being so close. But the Lions have won 5 straight games and eight of their last ten, I like the Lions to continue their run with a win here, Lions -115.
Kia Tigers at NC Dinos
The Dinos are the best team in the KBO and flexed their muscles with a 9-2 win of the Kia Tigers yesterday. The DInos have won six of their last ten games and post the best record in the KBO improving to 35-16 on the year. The Tigers fell to 22-17 on the year.
The NC Dinos have Mike Wright taking the hill, who is an impressive 6-2 on the year with a 3.70 ERA on the year. The Kia Tigers will have Aaron Brooks on the hill who is 3-3 on the year who has posted a 2.51 ERA on the season but took a loss last time out despite going 6 innings and allowing just one run.
The Dinos are the best offensive team in the KBO hitting .296 as a team and scoring 332 runs on the season which is the most in the KBO. They also have hit 77 home runs as a team which also leads the KBO. The Tigers hit .274 as a team and have scored 283 runs as a team ranking 6th in the KBO in both categories.
The Dinos are the KBO’s best team, and when you only have to lay -140 on them to outright win, especially against an inferior team, you do it. Dinos -140.
