Orioles vs Brewers Picks and Prediction – 6/8/2023

American Family Field will play host to a Thursday afternoon MLB clash between the Baltimore Orioles and the Milwaukee Brewers. The Orioles (37-24) have won 20 of their first 32 road games and trail AL East Division leading Tampa Bay by 6.5 games. Last night, Baltimore SP Dean Kremer (6-3) was tagged for six runs in five innings during an ugly 10-2 road loss against Milwaukee.  

Twenty-six year old righty Kyle Bradish (2-2 4.13 ERA) will head to the hill for the Orioles in this contest. Last time out, Bradish (4 IP) gave up seven hits and three runs during a 4-0 road loss against San Francisco.

The Milwaukee Brewers are six games above .500 at home and are clinging to a 1.5 game lead over Pittsburgh for first place in the NL Central Division. On Wednesday, All-Star SP Corbin Burnes (5-4) turned in his best performance of the season by striking out nine batters across eight shutout frames. OF Joey Wiemer fell a triple shy of the cycle and drove in five runs for the Brewers, who improved to 34-28 overall. 

The Brewers will counter with thirty-two year old righty Colin Rea (3-3 4.94 ERA) on Thursday. Milwaukee has won Rea’s last four starts and he has allowed 11 runs over his last 20 innings of work.
