The Atlanta Braves will continue their quest for the NL East Division title when the battle the Washington Nationals on Tuesday night. The Braves (96-58) have won seven of their last ten games and trail first place New York by one full game. Last night, 1B Matt Olson homered and drove in three runs to power Atlanta to an 8-0 road triumph against Washington.

Twenty-four year old righty Kyle Muller (1-1 10.57 ERA) will make his third start of the season for the Braves. Control has been a major issue for Muller, who has walked 26 batters through 39 plus career major league innings. 

The Washington Nationals have dropped 51 of their 75 home games and own the worst overall record in the majors. During Monday's home loss, Washington batters managed just six hits and were retired by strikes six times. Rookie SP Cory Abbott (0-4) gave up five runs (4 ER) in five innings and took the loss for the Nationals, who fell to 53-100 on the season.

Thirty-five year old righty Paolo Espino (0-7 4.17 ERA) will head to the hill for the Nationals in this contest. Through 108 innings of work, Espino has struck out 87 batters and owns a respectable 1.32 WHIP.

Atlanta 2B Ozzie Albies will not require surgery on his fractured pinky and is expected to return for the playoffs. Through 154 games, Atlanta ranks 2nd in OPS and 3rd in runs scored.
