The St. Louis Cardinals host the Atlanta Braves in the final game of the season series Aug. 28. The Braves have won four of the six games against the Cardinals in 2022.

Adam Wainwright gets the start for St. Louis. The veteran righthander is 9-9 with a 3.11 ERA in 156.1 innings.

Jake Odorizzi is starting for Atlanta for the fifth time after beginning the season with Houston. Odorizzi is 5-5 with a 3.95 ERA in 79.2 innings overall but has an ERA of 4.58 with the Braves.

Third baseman Austin Riley leads the Braves offense and is coming off a 3-for-4 night Saturday including his 35th double. Catcher Traves d'Arnaud, who homered and drove in three runs, and first baseman Matt Olson had two hits each in the game.

Nolan Arenado went 4 for 4 with a run scored and two runs batted in Saturday for the Cardinals. Arenado was hit by a pitch to load the bases with one out in the bottom of the ninth as Braves closer Kenley Jansen fell apart. An infield single from Corey Dickerson plated the game-tying run before Jansen walked Tyler O’Neill to give St. Louis a 6-5 victory.
