The Atlanta Braves open a three-game series on the road Monday against the San Francisco Giants. Atlanta is 87-52 following its 3-1 loss to the Seattle Mariners on Saturday. The loss snapped an eight-game winning streak for Atlanta and combined with a victory by the New York Mets, knocked the Braves out of first place in the National League East. Atlanta is trailing New York by a half-game and is leading the NL wildcard chase.

Shortstop Dansby Swanson is batting .286 to lead Atlanta and has a team-high 156 hits. Third baseman Austin Riley is the leader in home runs with 35, while first baseman Matt Olson is the leader in RBIs with 91 and right fielder Ronald Acuna Jr is the leader and on-base percentage at .358. On Monday, the Atlanta Braves will send Kyle Wright to the mound. The right-hander is 17-5 with a 3.23 ERA, 154 Ks and 46 BBs.

San Francisco improved to 66-73 following its 5-2 victory over the Chicago Cubs on Saturday. David Villar and Joey Bart each hit home runs and doubled with two RBIs to help lead the Giants to the victory. The win snapped a five-game losing streak for San Francisco. The Giants are third in the National League West but 29 ½ games behind first place and well out of playoff contention.

Second baseman Thairo Estrada is batting .257 to lead San Francisco and has a team-high 108 hits. Left fielder Joc Pederson is the leader in home runs with 22, while second baseman Wilmer Flores is the leader in RBIs with 63 and on-base percentage at .320. On Monday, the San Francisco Giants will send Alex Cobb to the mound. The right-hander is 5-6 with a 3.68 ERA, 126 Ks and 37 BBs.

Atlanta starter Kyle Wright is coming off a very disappointing outing in which the right-hander allowed eight runs on five hits including two home runs across only four innings. San Francisco starter Alex Cobb has allowed no earned runs in two of the last three starts and over that stretch has given up a combined three runs on 14 hits across 16 ⅓ innings. Final Score Prediction, San Francisco Giants win 5-4.
