The Athletics have an extremely talented bullpen and ranked 11th in the majors with a 3.81 team ERA. The New York Yankees finished with the third most victories in the majors, but were unable to catch Boston for the AL East Division title. New York has won 53 of their 81 home games and have a punishing lineup that set a major league record with 267 home runs this season. Giancarlo Stanton was a consistent force in the middle of the lineup, finishing with 38 home runs and 100 RBIs.

All-Star righty Luis Severino (19-8 3.39 ERA) will take the mound for the Yankees on Wednesday night. Severino struggled in the second half of the season, but finished strong by allowing just four runs over his last 17 plus innings.
