Thirty-year old southpaw Brian Anderson (0-2 8.16 ERA) has gotten off to a rough start to his Oakland career. Through 14 plus innings, Anderson has given up 23 hits and owns an ugly 2.02 WHIP.
The Toronto Blue Jays have dropped four of their last five games and are also at .500 through their first 44 games. On Thursday. SP Aaron Sanchez (2-4) allowed four runs and struck out batters in just four innings of work. Kevin Pillar had two hits and scored a run for Toronto in a losing effort.
Thirty-four year old righty Marco Estrada (2-3 5.32 ERA) will get the nod for the Blue Jays on Friday. Estrada is winless in his last four starts and has allowed 13 runs over his last 22 innings of work.
