Astros at Orioles 9/29/18 - Game 2- MLB Picks & Predictions

Last Updated: 08/07/2019 at 7:37 AM ET

The Astros are playoff bound as the division champs, which was expected. What was not expected was the struggles the Astros had when it came time for them to wrap up the division they ran away with last season. With the Orioles the team is not going anywhere except for home as they are going to finish the season with one of the worst records in modern baseball history.

The Orioles offense does almost reflect the record as the Orioles managed only 612 runs on the season and an average of .240 both of which are ranked in the 20's of the majors. The Orioles have a team ERA that sits at 5.25.

The Astros on the year have been able to blow the doors off of the opponents hitters with an ERA that is top in the majors of 3.13. The Astros have a team batting average of .256 and have managed to get a total of 786 runs scored on the year.
Dallas Keuchel is the pitcher who will be taking to the mound on Saturday in the second game for the Astros. Keuchel on the season has managed to get a total of 201.2 innings pitched, but only struck out 151 batters and has a 12-11 record with an ERA of 3.75.

Yefry Ramirez is the pitcher who is going to the mound for the Orioles. He has managed to post a total of 59.1 innings pitched with 58 strikeouts. Ramirez has posted a 1-7 record and an ERA of 6.07

The Astros offense will be unleashed in game 2 of the double header and against Yefry Ramirez the Astros offense will really control the game. Not to mention the Astros are not sending out the best pitcher they have, but facing the Orioles Keuchel will look like a Cy Young competitor. Final Score Prediction, Houston Astros win high scoring game 8-3.
