Astros at Nationals 10/26/19 - MLB Playoffs Picks & Predictions

Game Four of the 2019 World Series will take place between the Houston Astros and the Washington Nationals on Saturday night from Nationals Park. Last night, 2B Jose Altuve had two hits and scored twice to spark Houston to a 4-1 road victory. Michael Brantley added a pair of hits and drove in two runs for the Astros, who won for the first time this series.

Twenty-four year old righty Jose Urquidy (2-1 3.95 ERA) will take the ball to start for the Astros on Saturday. Through four plus innings this postseason, Urquidy has struck out eight batters and allowed one run.

The nation’s capital waited 86 years for the World Series to return but the host Washington Nationals were unable to grab a 3-0 series lead. Washington batters struck out 13 times and went a combined 0-for-10 with runners in scoring position. Veteran right-hander Anibal Snachez gave up ten hits and four runs in a losing effort for the Nationals.

The Nationals will counter with thirty year old left-hander Patrick Corbin (14-7 3.25 ERA) in Game Four. In two previous postseason starts, Corbin has allowed six runs and struck out 21 batters across 11 frames.
