AT&T Park will play host to a Tuesday afternoon MLB clash between the Houston Astros and San Francisco Giants. Last night, Marwin Gonzalez blasted a three-run shot with two outs in the ninth inning to lift Houston to a 3-1 victory. Roberto Osuna was credited with the win in his first appearance for the Astros, who lead Oakland by 4.5 games for the AL West Division lead.

2015 Cy Young Award winner Dallas Keuchel (9-9 3.61 ERA) will take the mound for the Astros in this matchup. Last time out, Keuchel allowed three runs in seven innings during an 8-3 victory at Seattle. The San Francisco Giants have split their first 114 games and are running out of time to make a push for the postseason. On Monday, Will Smith served up the home run to Gonzalez and took the loss. SP Dereck Rodriguez struck out seven batters over seven scoreless frames for the Giants, who are 5.5 games out of first place.

San Francisco skipper Bruce Bochy will turn to twenty-nine year old southpaw Madison Bumgarner (4-4 2.97 ERA) in the series opener. In his last start, Bumgarner allowed one run over five frames during an 8-1 victory at Arizona.

Houston SP Lance McCullers was placed on the 10-day disabled list with right elbow discomfort. Through 114 games, Houston ranks 5th in batting average and 3rd in runs scored. For the season, San Francisco ranks 12th in batting average and 23rd in runs scored. Take the Giants to earn a split of this two-game interleague set. Final Score Prediction, San Francisco Giants win 4-3.
