Arizona Diamondbacks at Milwaukee Brewers 10/4/22 - MLB Picks & Predictions

On Tuesday, the Arizona Diamondbacks will play the second game of a three-game series on the road versus the Milwaukee Brewers. Arizona is 73-86 following its 4-3 loss to the San Francisco Giants on Sunday. Arizona lost two out of three to San Francisco over the weekend. The Diamondbacks have lost six of the last nine and will finish the regular season fourth in the National League West.

Third baseman Josh Rojas is batting .268 to lead Arizona and has a team-high .348 on base percentage. First baseman Christian Walker has 36 home runs, 93 RBIs and 137 hits to lead Arizona in each category. On Tuesday, the Arizona Diamondbacks will send Zac Gallen to the mound. The right-hander is 12-3 with a 2.46 ERA, 186 Ks and 44 BBs.

Milwaukee dropped to 84-75 following its 4-3 loss to the Miami Marlins on Sunday. Milwaukee has lost two straight and three of the last four. The Brewers are fourth in the National League wild-card chase and trail the third and final spot, currently held by the Philadelphia Phillies, by two with only three games remaining on the regular season schedule.

Right fielder Hunter Renfroe is batting .256 to lead Milwaukee, while first baseman Rowdy Tellez is the leader in home runs with 34 and shortstop Willy Adames is the leader in RBIs with 97. Left fielder Christian Yelich is the leader in hits with 141 and on-base percentage at .354. On Tuesday, the Milwaukee Brewers will send Eric Lauer to the mound. The left-hander is 10-7 with a 3.83 ERA, 150 Ks and 55 BBs.

While the UNDER is a solid choice, the play here is Arizona. Milwaukee struggled over the weekend losing three out of four to Miami and the Brewers have dropped five of the last seven. Arizona starting pitcher Zac Gallen has had three consecutive strong outings allowing five runs across 20 ⅓ innings. Gallen pitched well when last facing Milwaukee on September 4, allowing no runs on two hits across seven innings in a 7-1 win for Arizona. Final Score Prediction, Arizona Diamondbacks win 4-2.
