Arizona is 73-85 following its 8-4 victory over the San Francisco Giants on Saturday. Sergio Alcantara hit a pair of two-run doubles in the win. Arizona has won two of the last three, but the Diamondbacks will finish fourth in the National League West and miss the postseason.
Third baseman Josh Rojas is batting .264 to lead Arizona and has a team-high .346 on base percentage. First baseman Christian Walker has 36 home runs, 93 RBIs and 135 hits to lead Arizona in each category. On Monday, the Arizona Diamondbacks will send Zac Gallen to the mound. Milwaukee dropped to 84-74 following its 4-3 loss to the Miami Marlins on Saturday. Milwaukee has lost four of the last six. The Brewers are currently second in the National League Central but more importantly battling for one of the three NL wild card spots. Milwaukee is fourth in the wild card chase, but just one game behind third spot currently held by the Philadelphia Phillies.
Right fielder Hunter Renfroe is batting .256 to lead Milwaukee, while first baseman Rowdy Tellez has a team-high 34 home runs and shortstop Willy Adames is the leader in RBIs with 96. Left fielder Christian Yelich is the leader in hits with 141 and on-base percentage at .353. On Monday, the Milwaukee Brewers will send Brandon Woodruff to the mound. The right hander is 13-4 with a 3.05 ERA, 183 Ks and 41 BBs.
