The Chicago Cubs were majors sellers at last season's trade deadline and are focused on rebuilding around their young talent. Last week the Cubs were able to take two out of three against the Diamondbacks in the desert. This week rookie 2B Christian Morel hit a home run in his first major league at bat and 3B Patrick Wisdom leads Chicago with six long balls.

Chicago manager David Ross will turn to veteran right-hander Kyle Hendricks (2-3 4.03 ERA) on Friday. In his last start, Hendricks allowed one run across five plus frames during a 4-2 road victory against Arizona.
