2020 Top 5 Left Fielders - MLB Picks & Predictions

The song about left field being important you know would be a fitting theme for this article. Today we are covering the top left fielders that are taking to the field in 2020. Those players are noted for their hitting prowess, but also their defensive ability s well. With that being the case, it is time to find out who we view as the top 5 left fielders in the majors for 2020.

Juan Soto is playing for the Washington National and he definitely needs to live up to the hype for the Nationals to be competitive again. Last year Soto ended up hitting at a clip of .282 with 34 homers and 110 runners brought home which helped the Nationals win the World Series title.

Playing for the Houston Astros the team is going to have a great star player. Michael Brantley is the starter that is projected for the Astros. Last year Brantley ended up hitting at a clip of .311 with 22 homers, but brought home 90 runners which was fairly impressive for the Astros.

Austin Meadows is playing for the Tampa Bay Rays, which could hurt his overall prospective views, but he is going to really show up individually. Meadows is one player that could actually end up carrying the team offensively if he was pushed to carry the team. Meadows on the year last season hit at a clip of .291 with 33 homers and 89 runners brought home.

The Cubs are looking to see if Kyle Schwarber is going to start to produce better contact wise or if he will just be a power hitter. Schwarber has done really well for the Cubs as a defensive player and has managed to do good with the hitting as a power hitter. Schwarber ended up hitting at a clip of .250 on the year with 38 homers and 92 RBIs on the year.

Tommy Pham is playing for the Padres this year and that could really help him out as the Padres do not have a lot in the way of talent. Look for Pham to come into the game here and trying to improve on hi stats from last year. Pham played for the Rays with a .273 average with 21 homers and only 68 RBIs.
