The NL Central is going to have another competitive year. The one team that has pretty much given up on the chance of bringing home the NL Central title is the Pirates. The Pirates starting rotation will do decent, but the offense of the Pirates and a questionable bullpen makes it impossible to really see the Pirates compete in the game here.
The Cubs are one team that a lot of people expect to be a threat this year, but the Cubs are aging and have some question marks that need to be answered. The question marks are the problem that will keep the Cubs out of the Central Title. The Brewers are in the same boat and that will make it very difficult for the Brewers to pull out the division as well. With the Brewers, the team allowed a big chunk of the offensive production to go away and the pitching staff has lost some of the players as well.
MLB 2020 Odds to win NL Central
- Chicago Cubs +250
- Cincinnati Reds +300
- Milwaukee Brewers+260
- Pittsburgh Pirates +5000
- Saint Louis Cardinals +215
The two teams that will actually have a good run here for the Central Division is the Cardinals and the Reds. The Cardinals, though, have some issues that come from the rotation that is looking to defy their age issues again. If the Cardinals pitching staff denies those problems the Cardinals have a good chance of winning the division. The big thing is the Reds have made some good moves in the off season of bringing in talent to bring in the runs, but also have a good pitching staff with a bull pen that has built up quite a bit compared to the horrible pen last year. NL Central Division winner, Cincinnati Reds.
