The Diamondbacks this year will be looking to improve on the year and that can come from some of the off season additions. The key addition that the Diamondbacks were able to make was getting Madison Bumgarner signed away from the Giants. With the addition of a staff ace to help Robbie Ray who has dropped back in the rotation for the Diamondbacks.

As mentioned Arizona did add some pitching help and that should help the Diamondbacks be seen as a more serious threat. However, it really depends on if Bumgarner is able to play at the level that he has played in the past or if Bumgarner will continue to have some pitching struggles that he has had when he did not really get the offensive support from the Giants.

When it comes to the infield the Diamondbacks are playing pretty much along the same lines as last year. However, the infield for the Diamondbacks during the season last year was not that bad and could actually be seen as a potential strength for the team. With that being the case look for the Diamondbacks to avoid the problem mistakes here and even if the injury bug does hit the Diamondbacks have some limited backups.

The Diamondbacks outfield is coming in looking very impressive as well. The Diamondbacks have a couple of players that have played great in the past in David Peralta and Sterling Marte. The Diamondbacks do have the potential of a new star that is rising in Kole Calhoun. No matter what, the Diamondbacks have been looking impressive in the outfield for quite some time.
