The Cowboys had a decent opening weekend, but barely beat a ranked FCS team. The Wyoming team ended up beating Montana State by a score of 19-16. Now, the Cowboys are sitting on a record of 1-0 on the year, but still it is a suspected win.
Wyoming is coming here with Sean Chambers having a good game in the last outing. Chambers went 15/26 for 196 yards and a touchdown, but a pick as well. The rushing offense carried the ball 43 times for a total of 151 yards and a touchdown. The defense gave up 200 yards in the air and 2 touchdowns. However, the rushing defense did not give up any scores, but allowed 121 yards on 30 carries.
Northern Illinois is coming here after getting a nice win in their last game. The win came over the Yellow Jackets from Georgia Tech. The one downside is the win came only by a single point with a score of 22-21.
The Huskies are coming in with Rocky Lombardi throwing the ball decent. Lombardi ended up going 11/17 for 136 yards, but ended up with 2 touchdowns. The rushing offense was good with 1 touchdown and 165 yards on the day off of a total of 42 carries. The defense allowed a total of 156 yards in the air and a touchdown. The rushing defense for the Huskies was downright horrible giving up 273 yards and 2 touchdowns on a total of 52 carries.
