On Friday December 28 the West Virginia Mountaineers visit Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida to play the Syracuse Orange in the Camping World Bowl. West Virginia finished the regular season 8-3 after losing its final game to Oklahoma 59-56. Mountaineers quarterback Will Grier threw for 539 yards and four touchdowns in the loss, but lost a pair of fumbles with both being returned for touchdowns.

Syracuse finished the regular season 9-3 after defeating Boston College in its final game 42-21. The Orange were led by quarterback Eric Dungey who threw for 362 yards and three touchdowns and ran for three others as the Orange doubled up the scored on the Eagles in a display of their potent offense. Mountaineers quarterback Will Grier has thrown for 3,864 yards, 37 touchdowns and eight interceptions. The leading rusher for West Virginia is Kennedy McKoy with 729 yards and seven touchdowns. Gary Jennings Jr. has 917 yards receiving and 13 touchdowns, while Davis Sills V finished with 896 yards and 15 TD receptions.

Eric Dungey has thrown for 2,565 yards, 17 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Moe Neal leads the Orange in rushing with 827 yards and five touchdowns, while Dungey has rushed for 698 yards and 12 TDs. Jamal Custis leads all receivers with 826 yards and six touchdowns,

The game should be characterized by passing, touchdowns and turnovers. But with Will Grier out from under center for West Virginia we have to give Syracuse the edge.Turnovers will be key as fumbles and interceptions will stop drives and start new one for the opposition.
