Through three games, Purdue ranks second worst in total defense and is allowing 30.3 points per game. On Saturday, Purdue watched as Syracuse QB Garrett Shrader rushed for four touchdowns during a 35-20 home loss. 

Texas transfer QB Hudson Card completed 32 of 46 passes for 323 yards and a touchdown to lead the Purdue offense. Abdur Rahmaan Yaseen added 114 receiving yards and ten catches for the Boilermakers, who were outgained 271-80 on the ground.
