Wisconsin at Nebraska 10/31/20 - NCAA Football Picks & Predictions

The Badgers are heading to this game after picking up a big win over the Illinois team on Friday night in the opening game of the Big Ten season. The 45-7 win showcased the fact that Wisconsin is still very strong on both sides of the ball and that the Badgers defense picked up right where it left off last season with being able to stuff the opponents and keep them from scoring.

Graham Mertz had a very impressive day for the Badgers out of his quarterback position. Mertz went 20/21 for 248 yards and a total of 5 touchdowns. The rushing offense for the Wisconsin team managed to get a total of 54 carries for 182 yards and a touchdown as well. Defensively the Badgers gave up only 87 yards in the air and allowed only 131 yards on the ground. The defense did not give up a touchdown at all in the game.

Nebraska is coming to the game here after getting completely crushed in the opening game of the Big Ten by Ohio State. The score ended up being a final of 52-17 and showcased a lot of the defensive weaknesses that Nebraska was worried about being exposed. The offense for Nebraska did have some points that looked decent, but overall the offense for the Cornhuskers looked outmatched.

In the game the Cornhuskers seen Adrian Martinez go 12/15 for 105 yards. Luke McCaffrey went 4/5 for 55 yards and neither player had a touchdown pass. Rushing the ball the Cornhuskers ended up with 36 carries for 210 yards and 2 touchdowns. Defensively Nebraska gave up 276 yards and 2 touchdowns in the air. The rushing defense did not fair much better allowing 215 rushing yards and 4 rushing touchdowns.
