Week six of the college football season will come to a conclusion, when the Washington Huskies visit the Stanford Cardinal. The 15th ranked Huskies have a blemish versus California on their record, but have rolled off three straight victories since. On Saturday, Washington flexed their defensive muscle during a 28-14 home victory versus USC. The Huskies forced three turnovers and recovered a fumble for a score.
Washington RB Salvon Ahmed scampered for a 89-yard touchdown and finished with a career high 153 yards. Aaron Fuller caught six passes for 68 yards for the Huskies.
The Stanford Cardinal are in the unfamiliar position of losing three of their first five games for head coach David Shaw. On Saturday, Jeff Toner kicked a 39-yard field goal with six seconds remaining to lift Stanford to a 31-28 road victory against Oregon State. Davis Mills completed 18 of his 25 passing attempts for 245 yards and three touchdowns.
The Stanford defense has taken a major step back this season and allowed 501 yards of total offense during their win against Oregon State. The Cardinal ground attack was limited to 100 yards on 31 carries.
