Wake Forest at NC State 9/19/20 – College Football Picks & Predictions

Wake Forest is coming to the game after getting beaten up by the number 1 team in the nation. The Demon Deacons ended up losing the game by a score of 37-13, which is not as bad as what it could have been, but it still was a loss. Wake did not end up getting to the 13 point mark when their starters were playing against some of the Clemson backup players.

Sam Hartman was the main quarterback in the game for Wake Forest. He went 11-21 with 182 yards. However, Michael Kern and Mitch Griffis both seen action going a combined 8-17 for 111 yards and a touchdown. The leading rusher for Wake Forest was Christian Beal-Smith who carried the ball 11 times for only 29 yards.

The opening game for the Wolfpack is going to be against the Demon Deacons. The game will actually be a very interesting one as the NC State team is coming into the game struggling. The Wolfpack are coming to the game here, though, with a returning quarterback who was the starter last year and it should definitely help NC State out quite a bit.

The Wolfpack are returning Devin Leary the now sophomore quarterback to guide the team. Last season Leary ended up throwing the ball for 1219 yards, 8 touchdowns, but also threw to the wrong team 5 times. The leading rusher who is also a sophomore this year is Zonovan Knight who carried the ball 136 times for 745 yards and 5 touchdowns.
