The No. 23 ranked Virginia Tech Hokies visit Truist Field in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on Saturday to play the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. Virginia Tech improved to 3-1 following its 40-14 victory over the Boston College Eagles. Quarterback Hendon Hooker passed for 111 yards and one touchdown and rushed for 164 yards and three touchdowns. Virginia Tech out gained Boston College 461 to 435 in the victory and forced five BC turnovers.

Wake Forest gained 483 yards of total offense and allowed 420 yards of offense to Virginia, but the Demon Deacons forced Virginia to turn the ball over three times, which was important as Virginia had nine more first downs then Wake Forest but could not hold on to the ball.

The leading rusher for Wake Forest is Kenneth Walker III with 383 yards and seven touchdowns and Christian Beal-Smith has 256 yards rushing and four touchdowns.
