Vanderbilt at Mississippi State 11/7/20 - College Football Picks & Predictions

Vanderbilt is coming to the game here still looking for their first win. The Commodores are sitting on a 0-4 record so far this year. The Commodores in the last game against Ole Miss ended up losing the game by a score of 54-21.

Ken Seals did good for Vanderbilt from a quarterback perspective. Seals ended up going 31/40 for 319 yards with 2 touchdowns and a pick. Running the ball for Vanderbilt was only so-so with 34 carries for 102 yards and a touchdown. The defense for Vanderbilt was blown up in the passing defense giving up 449 yards in the air and 7 touchdowns. Ole Miss had a great day running the ball 42 times for 196 yards and a touchdown.

Mississippi State heads to the game here after losing their last game to the Alabama Crimson Tide. The game ended up being a shutout loss by a 41-0 score. By losing the game the Bulldogs ended up dropping to a 1-4 record on the year so far.  Now, the good news is the loss was by 41 points, but it was not horrible with how well Alabama has played on the year.

The Bulldogs were able to use a couple of quarterbacks in the loss. The Bulldogs combined to go 28/48 for 163 yards, but Will Rogers ended up throwing 2 picks.  The running game for Mississippi State was not that good with 15 carries for 37 yards. Defensively the Bulldogs gave up 291 yards in the air and 4 touchdowns, but allowed 208 yards on 40 carries.
