UTEP at Tennessee 9/15/18 - College Football Picks & Predictions

UTEP has not been able to win on the year so far and the Miners have been dominated in the games they have played in so far. However, the Miners are a team that should be able to put up some competition in the game, but even against NAU and UNLV the Miners were crushed. Against UNLV the Miners gave up 52 points, but only scored 24 points.

A major issue for the Miners is the fact the offense is under the control of only one player for the leading stats for everything except receiving. Kai Locksley has thrown for 177 yards and no touchdowns. However, Locksley has rushed the ball 38 times for 169 yards and 2 touchdowns. Tennessee is a team that has been able to play some great games on the year, but have dropped to a 1-1 record and the first loss was to the 17th ranked West Virginia squad who really played well and put in 40 points and gave up only 14 points. The second week of the season seen the Vols completely crush the competition with a 59-3 win over East Tennessee State.

Jarrett Guarantano has tried to fill the big shoes of the quarterback position and has thrown for 326 yards and a touchdown on the year. The rushing attack has been led by Tim Jordan who carried the ball 35 times for 183 yards and a touchdown.
