The Florida International Panthers struggled on the defensive side of the ball against the Charlotte 49ers as they allowed them to score 23 points and rack up a total of 330 yards of offense. Senior LB Sage Lewis led the way for the Florida International defense with 9 tackles while forcing a fumble. The UTEP Miners have struggled in recent history as they have totaled 25 losses in their last 27 games, and they will add to that mark on the road against a solid FIU team. The Miners are statistically bad on both sides of the ball as they rank 120th in points scored and 112th in points allowed while FIU is in the top 60 in those same categories. The Panthers have an impressive ground attack with Anthony Jones and Napoleon Maxwell as they have combined for 751 rushing yards and 10 TDs, and they will once again look to establish that part of their offense. The Panthers should have no problem blowing away a bad UTEP team at home. Final Score Prediction, FIU Panthers win and cover ATS 41-10.
