UTEP at Charlotte 10/1/22 - College Football Picks & Predictions

The UTEP Miners will travel to Charlotte, NC for a week 5 matchup against the Charlotte 49ers in Jerry Richardson Stadium. UTEP is 2-3 on the year following a 17 point win over Boise State. Offensively the Miners dominated the game busting 300 total yards of offense to score 27 points including 17 in the second half.

Gavin Hardison led the way for the Miners offense completing 10/12 passes for 123 yards and one score. Deion Hankins led all ball carriers with 86 yards on 21 carries and Reynaldo Flores chipped in nine carries for 41 yards and one score.

The Charlotte 49ers go back home on Saturday with only one win through their first four games following a 36 point blowout loss against South Carolina. Defensively Charlotte was obliterated as South Carolina scored 56 points on 545 total yards of offense including 295 on the ground.

Offensively Charlotte moved the ball well with nearly 300 yards and 20 points in the game, but three turnovers brought the offense to a halt. Charlotte used three different quarterbacks in the game combining to complete 20 of 35 passes for 213 yards and three scores. Grant Dubose led all Charlotte receivers with 60 yards on four catches and Elijah Spencer chipped in 59 yards and one touchdown on five receptions as well.
