A huge Pac-12 showdown will take place on Friday night, when the Utah Utes invade the Rose Bowl to take on the USC Trojans. The 10th ranked Utes are undefeated and have allowed just 29 points through their first three games. On Saturday, Utah raced out to a 17-point lead after one quarter and cruised to a 31-0 home victory versus Idaho State. Tyler Huntley threw for 282 yards and three touchdowns for the Utes.

Utah did whatever they wanted to do offensively, rushing for 223 yards and throwing for 320 more. The Utes limited the Bengals to 36 yards on the ground and 3-for-12 on third down conversions.

The USC Trojans lost starting QB J.T. Daniels for the season with an ACL injury and have played three quality opponents. On Saturday, USC stumbled in overtime during a 30-27 road loss against BYU. The game ended on the third interception of the game thrown by Trojans QB Kedon Slovis. Michael Pittman Jr. caught nine passes for 95 yards and two touchdowns in a losing effort for USC.

The Trojans outgained the Cougars by a 452-430 margin and converted 6 of 17 on third down. The Trojans’ defense allowed 3.3 yards per carry and failed to force a turnover.

Utah reached the Pac-12 Championship Game a season ago and have unfinished business this year. The Utes are the better coached team and a loss by USC on Friday will lead to more speculation about the future of head coach Clay Helton. Take the Utes to win and cover on Friday. Final Score Prediction, Utah Utes win and cover ATS 34-23.
