Utah at UCLA 10/8/22 - College Football Picks & Predictions

The No. 12 ranked Utah Utes visit the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California on Saturday to play the UCLA Bruins. Utah is 4-1 overall and 2-0 in the Pac-12 following its 42-16 victory over Oregon State on Saturday. Utah gained 361 yards of total offense but the Utes gave up too much on defense allowing 417 yards but were helped by forcing Oregon State to commit four turnovers. Utah’s Cameron Rising threw three touchdowns.

Utah quarterback Cameron Rising has passed for 1,153 yards with 13 touchdowns and just two interceptions. The leading rusher is Tavian Thomas with 295 yards and four touchdowns, while the leading receiver is Dalton Kincaid with 240 yards and four touchdown receptions. On defense, safety Cole Bishop is the leading tackler with 27. Utah has nine quarterback sacks and seven interceptions. 

UCLA improved to 5-0 overall and 2-0 in Pac-12 play following its 40-32 victory over Washington on Friday. UCLA gained 499 yards of total offense and did not turnover the ball. The Bruins gave up 410 yards of total offense to Washington and forced two Huskies’ turnovers. Quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson passed for 315 yards and three touchdowns. UCLA led by as many as 24 points.

Dorian Thompson-Robinson has passed for 1,211 yards with 11 touchdowns and has been picked off just once. Zach Carbonnet is the leading rusher with 417 yards and five touchdowns, while the leading receiver is Jake Bobo with 363 yards and three touchdowns. On defense, linebacker Darius Muasau is the leading tackler with 30. UCLA has 13 quarterback sacks and six interceptions.
