On Thursday, the UL Monroe Warhawks visit Bobcat Stadium in San Marcos, Texas to play the Texas State Bobcats. UL Monroe fell to 2-3 on the season following its 52-33 loss on Saturday to the Memphis Tigers. Caleb Evans threw for 286 yards with a pair of touchdowns in the loss while rushing for 112 yards and two touchdowns. Josh Johnson rushed for 118 yards for the Warhawks.
Texas State improved to 2-3 on the season following its 24-3 victory over Nicholls. Gresch Jensen tossed two touchdowns passes in the second half and rushed for another as the Bobcats pulled away in the second half to defeat Nicholls. The Bobcats have won two straight after losing each of their first three.

Josh Johnson is the leading rusher with 598 yards and four touchdowns, while Evans has 286 yards and five touchdowns. Josh Pederson leads all receivers with 283 yards and five TDS. The leading tackler for the Warhawks is Cortez Sisco Jr. with 36.
Gresch Jensen has thrown for 1,121 yards, five touchdowns and six interceptions for Texas State. The leading rusher is Caleb Twyford with 294 yards and one touchdown. Hutch White is the leading receiver with 236 yards, while Jah’Marae Sheread has 186 yards receiving and one touchdown. Bryan London II is the leading tackler for Texas State with 48.
