Junior safety Tyler Glass led the way for the UL-Monroe defense with 12 tackles. Junior safety Austin Hawley had a productive game from the secondary for the Warhawks as he contributed 10 tackles and 1 pass deflection.

The Georgia Southern Eagles come into this matchup with a 5-4 record, and they will be looking to rebound after dropping their recent road game against the Troy Trojans, 49-28. Junior QB Shai Werts had a productive game through the air for Georgia Southern as he connected on 8 of his 16 pass attempts for 181 yards and 3 TDs. Junior RB Wesley Kennedy III had a big game on the ground for the Eagles as he ran for 75 yards and a TD on 10 carries.

The Georgia Southern Eagles struggled on the defensive side of the ball against the Troy Trojans as they allowed them to score 49 points and rack up a total of 603 yards of offense. Junior LB Rashad Byrd led the way for the Georgia Southern defense with 10 tackles and a forced fumble. Senior CB Jessie Liptrot had a productive game from the secondary for the Eagles as he hauled in the lone interception of the game.

The Georgia Southern Eagles were able to test one of the best teams in the nation at the beginning of the season (Minnesota), and reasonably so as they have a dangerous rushing attack (256.3 YPG). The Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks may have a great offense, but they are terrible on the defensive side of the ball as they are allowing an average of 37.8 PPG which won’t bode well against a team that will control the clock. Georgia Southern will keep the ball on the ground for 95% of their snaps, and if they take the lead early, they will milk the clock for an easy win. Georgia Southern has been respectable on the defensive side of the ball, and they should be able to contribute a few stops on their home field to win this game. Final Score Prediction, Georgia Southern Eagles win and cover ATS 34-24.
