East Carolina is 2-7 overall and UConn 1-9. UConn has lost seven in a row and only one of those games was decided by less than a touchdown. East Carolina has lost its last four.

UConn's biggest struggle has been its defense, which is giving up 49.3 points per game, which is 130th in D-1. The Huskies are averaging 23.8 on offense. The Huskies have a reasonable running game, 26th nationally, averaging 217 yards per game.

East Carolina is averaging 23.2 points and giving up 34.8. The Pirates are eighth nationally in passing at 320 yards per game, but they are 118th rushing at 114 yards per game.

Freshman Holton Ahlers has taken over the quarterback duties for East Carolina the last three weeks. For the year he has 1359 yards, seven touchdown and six interceptions. The Pirates have 2882 yards passing as a team, 13 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Ahlers also leads the team in rushing with 441 yards and five touchdowns. Trevon Brown has 999 yards receiving and eight touchdowns.

Two of the worst teams in College Football face-off and this ugly game will not be one you would want to watch. But for bettors think there is value betting on the underdog Huskies in what will be closer than expected match-up. Final Score Prediction, East Carolina Pirates win but fall short ATS 29-23.
