The UCF Knights are set to visit Bobby Dodd Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia for a Week 3 clash against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. The UCF Knights have yet to play a game this season, but there are high expectations for this program after going 10-3 and winning the Bad Boy Mowers Gasparilla Bowl in blowout fashion. The UCF Knights will return their star QB Dillon Gabriel who had an amazing freshman season with 3653 passing yards, 29 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions. Gabriel will have to adjust to life without Gabriel Davis (1241 receiving yards and 12 TDs) and Adrian Killins (629 rushing yards and 7 TDs), but he does have talent with Otis Anderson (1091 scrimmage yards and 8 TDs) and Tre Nixon (830 receiving yards and 7 TDs).

The UCF Knights were solid on the defensive side of the ball during the 2019 season as they held their opponents to an average of 23 PPG and a total of 346.1 yards of offense per game. The Knights will have to replace some key players as Nate Evans (112 tackles, 13 TFL) and Brendon Hayes (7.5 sacks) moving on from the program, but they do return a ton of production. The Knights secondary will be led by Richie Grant (78 tackles and 8 pass deflections) and Antwan Collier (74 tackles and 4 interceptions), and they will be depended on this year.

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets come into this matchup with a 1-0 record, and they will be looking to continue their success after winning their recent road game against the Florida State Seminoles, 16-13. Freshman QB Jeff Sims struggled to find much consistency through the air as he connected on 24 of his 35 pass attempts for 277 yards, 1 TD, and 2 interceptions. Junior WR Malachi Carter was Sims favorite target in his first career game as the duo hooked up for 6 receptions for 66 yards and 1 TD.

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets were solid on the defensive side of the ball against the Florida State Seminoles as they held them to 13 points and 307 yards of offense while forcing 3 turnovers. Junior LB Quez Jackson led the way for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets as he contributed 9 tackles and 1 interception. The Yellow Jackets were able to get into the Florida State backfield a handful of times as senior LB David Curry had 2 TFL and 1 sack while sophomore DL Curtis Ryans pitched in 2 TFL and 2 sacks.

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are coming off an impressive win against a should be improved Florida State program, but unfortunately, they will run into one of the most explosive offenses in college football in UCF. The Knights have not yet played a game this season which has proven to be concerning for teams, especially on the defensive side of the ball, but the offense should be in full swing. Sophomore QB Dillion Gabriel will need to break in some new WRs, but the vertical attack of this offense will strain the Georgia Tech secondary. Freshman QB Jeff Sims struggled at times in his 1st career start, but he will have a tougher task in this one as the Knights defense is dependent on the secondary. Final Score Prediction, UCF Knights win and cover ATS 35-20.
