1st Part of College Football Parlay: OVER 62.5
Syracuse Orange at Pittsburgh Panthers: PITT -21.5; Total 50.5
Syracuse opened its regular season with a 31-6 loss to the North Carolina Tar Heels. The Orange played very well in the first half trailing just 7-3 at the break but were outscored 24-3 in the second half. Quarterback Tommy DeVito struggled throughout, passing for only 112 yards while completing just 13 of his 31 passes. The offense was able to generate just 202 total yards, while the defense played well for most of the game and forced three North Carolina turnovers but will face a tough task on Saturday against the much-improved Pittsburgh Panthers. Pittsburgh is coming off a big 55-0 rout over the Austin Peay Governors after leading 42-0 at the half. Quarterback Kenny Pickett threw for 277 yards and three touchdowns. The competition against Austin Peay is not indicative of what Pittsburgh will face against Syracuse, although the Panthers will have a field day against a weak Syracuse defensive backfield and Pickett should pick apart the Orange secondary for an easy 37-12 victory.
