Two-Team College Football Parlay - Saturday 11/14/20

Our two-team college football parlay for Saturday features four teams from the Pac-12, when the USC Trojans visit the desert southwest to play the Arizona Wildcats and the Oregon Ducks are in the Pacific Northwest to visit the Washington State Cougars in what are expected to be too high-scoring showdowns on the West Coast.

USC Trojans at Arizona Wildcats: USC -14; Total 68

USC rallied late from a 27-14 deficit to defeat Arizona State last Saturday thanks to recovering an onside kick after scoring a touchdown to narrow the deficit to 27-20. Trojans quarterback Kaden Slovis threw for 381 yards with two touchdowns and one interception completing 40 of his 55 passes. USC is ranked No. 20 in the nation after its victory over Arizona State but the defense gave up 392 yards, including 258 yards rushing. Arizona has yet to play a game this season after having last week's game against Utah cancelled because of covid19, but ended last season with seven consecutive defeats. The Wildcats are led by quarterback Grant Gunnell, who last season as a backup signal-caller passed for nine touchdowns. Arizona's defense has two highly talented linebackers in Jalen Harris and Anthony Pandy, but last season the Wildcats defense allowed an average of 471.4 yards per game. Arizona’s secondary will have a hard time stopping the passing game of the Trojans led by Slovis and the play here is lay the points and take the road chalk.

Oregon Ducks at Washington State Cougars: ORE -10; Total 58

Oregon opened its college football regular season with a 35-14 victory over the Stanford Cardinal, although the Ducks started slow but eventually covered the number. Oregon gained 496 yards of total offense with CJ Verdell rushing for 105 yards. Tyler Shough has taken over for Justin Herbert, who is now with the Los Angeles Chargers, and passed for 227 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Washington State opened its regular season with a 38-28 victory over the Oregon State Beavers. However, Washington State at one point led 28-7 and saw that lead narrowed to 31-28 in the fourth quarter before scoring late to seal the victory. Washington State used a solid running game as Deon McIntosh gained 147 yards with one touchdown. Washington State has fared well when playing Oregon covering the number in each of the last five played at home and 10 of the last 11 overall against the Ducks. Behind a running game led by McIntosh and a solid defense against the rush, the Cougars will keep it close. Take the points and the home dog to cover.
