Illinois Fighting Illini at Wisconsin Badgers: WIS -19.5; Total 51
The Big Ten Conference opens its schedule this weekend and Illinois visits Wisconsin to kick off the festivities on Friday. Wisconsin has been a contender for the West division of the Big Ten annually since coach Paul Chryst took the reins in 2016. However, this season Wisconsin will be without several skills position players especially at running back. One of the best running backs ever to play at Wisconsin Jonathan Taylor is now in the NFL and center Tyler Biadasz, who won the Rimington Trophy last season, is no longer playing. Quintez Cephus, last season's leading receiver, is at Wisconsin. If missing those three players was not enough, quarterback Jack Coan has a foot injury and is out as well. Illinois has an excellent passer in quarterback Brandon Peter and four of the five starters from the offensive line return. On defense, Illinois has a revamped defensive line, but returns several linebackers and members of the secondary that have talent and experience. With all the important pieces missing for Wisconsin it's hard to believe the Badgers can win by 20 points to cover. Take the points and the road dog to cover
1st Part of College Football Parlay: Illinois Fighting Illini +19.5
Tulsa Golden Hurricanes at South Florida Bulls: TLSA -10.5; Total 50.5
South Florida looks to snap a four-game losing streak while hosting Tulsa which is coming off a 34-26 victory on October 3 over UCF, but has not played in three weeks. South Florida’s only victory this season was against The Citadel, an FCS program. The Bulls have been beaten badly by both Cincinnati and Notre Dame and lost as well to East Carolina. South Florida is led by quarterback Jordan McCloud, who has four touchdown passes in two interceptions, while a pair of running backs Johnny Ford and Kelly Joyner Jr lead the running game. Tulsa lost 16-7 to Oklahoma State as 24-point dogs and defeated UCF after trailing 16-0 during the first quarter. Quarterback Zack Smith is the leader on offense for Tulsa, while a trio of linebackers Justin Wright, Grant Sawyer and Zaven Collins lead the defense. Tulsa's defense will shut down the South Florida offense and quarterback Zach Smith will pick apart the Bulls defense leading to an easy double digit cover for the Golden Hurricanes. Lay the points and take the home chalk.
