The Tulsa Golden Hurricane are set to visit Nippert Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio for the AAC Championship Game as they will face off against the Cincinnati Bearcats. The Tulsa Golden Hurricane come into this matchup with a 6-1 record, and they will be looking to continue their success after winning their recent road game against the Navy Midshipmen, 19-6. QB Zach Smith was unable to find much consistency through the air for Tulsa as he connected on 10 of his 25 pass attempts for 168 yards and 1 TD. WR Josh Johnson was one of the top targets for Smith and the Golden Hurricane as he hauled in 3 catches for 76 yards and a TD.

The Tulsa Golden Hurricane were very good on the defensive side of the ball against the Navy Midshipmen as they held them to 6 points and a total of 153 yards of offense. DL Jaxon Player led the way for the Tulsa defense with 12 tackles, 4.5 TFLs, and 2 sacks. The Golden Hurricane were able to get into the Navy backfield a handful of times as LB Justin Wright had 2.5 TFLs and 1 sack while LB Grant Sawyer and LB Treyvon Reeves combined for 4 TFLs and 2 sacks.

The Cincinnati Bearcats come into this matchup with an 8-0 record, and they will be looking to continue their success after winning their recent road game against the UCF Knights, 36-33. QB Desmond Ridder had a big game for Cincinnati as he threw for 338 yards and 2 TDs while also adding 2 rushing TDs. TE Josh Whyle was one of the top targets for Ridder and the Bearcats as he hauled in 5 catches for 81 yards and a TD.

The Cincinnati Bearcats struggled on the defensive side of the ball against the UCF Knights as they allowed them to score 33 points and rack up a total of 359 yards of offense. LB Darrian Beavers led the way for the Cincinnati defense with 12 tackles, 4 TFLs, and 1.5 sacks. The secondary had a busy day for the Bearcats as safety Darrick Forrest hauled in an interception while DB James Wiggins pitched in 5 tackles.

The Cincinnati Bearcats are by far the best group of 5 team this season as they have handled their schedule, but the Tulsa Golden Hurricane are undefeated after dropping a close game to Oklahoma State to open the season. The Golden Hurricane have a very good defense with Zaven Collins leading the way with 52 tackles, 4 sacks, and 4 interceptions, and I expect them to have a plan for dual-threat QB Desmond Ridder. The Cincinnati defense has been very successful this season, and they should cause havoc on the inconsistent Zach Smith, but expect Tulsa to try and minimize the Cincinnati offense with an effective ground game. Final Score Prediction, Cincinnati Bearcats win but fail to cover ATS 24-13.
