The Tulane Green Waves visit Michie Stadium in West Point, New York on Saturday to play the Army Black Knights. Tulane is coming off a bye week and improved to 3-1 on the second before the bye with a 38-31 victory over Houston. Jalen McCleskey hauled in a 53-yard touchdown pass with only three seconds remaining helping the Green Wave rally for a deficit of 21 points to beat the Cougars.
The Black Knights are also coming off a bye week. Army improved to 3-1 on the season following its 52-21 victory over Morgan State last week. Artice Hoobs IV has two touchdowns, while Connor Slomka rushed for 110 yards and one touchdown. Army has won 15 straight at home. Starting quarterback Kelvin Hopkins Jr. missed his second straight game with a leg injury.
Justin McMillian has thrown for 610 yards, five touchdowns and two interceptions. Darius Bradwell is the leading rusher with 255 yards, while McMillian has rushed for 245 yards and four touchdowns. Darnell Mooney is the leading receiver with 231 yards and two touchdowns. Marvin Moody is the leading tackler with 19.
Kelvin Hopkins Jr. has thrown for 96 yards, one touchdown and one interception. Connor Slomka is the leading rusher with 261 yards and two touchdowns. In all, five players have rushed for more than 100 yards for the Black Knights. Artice Hoobs IV is the leading receiver with 142 yards and one touchdown. Cole Christiansen is the leading tackler with 39.
