On Saturday, the Troy Trojans (1-1) visit Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, Nebraska to play the Nebraska Cornhuskers (0-1) in a Week 3 college football regular season showdown.

Troy bounced back from its season opening loss to Boise State with a 59-7 rout over Florida A&M last Saturday night. Trojans quarterback Kaleb Barker tossed four touchdown passes while running for another and the Troy defense forced Florida A&M into turnovers that directly led to four TDs. B.J. Smith rushed for a touchdown, while Tron Folsom returned an interception 53 yards in the third quarter for a touchdown.

Nebraska’s opening game of the season was cancelled due to weather and last Saturday the Cornhuskers opened the season with a disappointing 33-28 loss to Colorado. The loss spoiled the debut of Scott Frost as the Nebraska coach. True freshman quarterback Adrian Martinez scored two touchdowns and passed for another, but the Cornhuskers defense could not hold onto a 28-20 lead in the fourth quarter. Martinez injured his knee and is questionable for Saturday’s game. Troy quarterback Kaleb Barker has completed 34 of 52 attempts for 351 yards, five touchdowns and one interception. Jabir Daughtry-Frye is the leading rusher with 113 yards and one touchdown, while B.J. Smith has rushed for 97 yards and two touchdowns. Deondre Douglas leads all receivers for Troy with 10 receptions for 128 yards and two touchdowns.

Cornhuskers QB Adrian Martinez has thrown for 187 yards, one touchdown and one interception, while rushing for 117 yards and two touchdowns. After Martinez, the next leading rusher is Greg bell with 104 yards. Stanley Morgan Jr. leads the Cornhuskers receivers with 75 yards on 5 receptions, while JD Spielman has 67 yards receiving and one touchdown.
