College football did not really pull off much in the way of surprises this week. However, the Big Ten is coming back this week to action and that could see a shake up of the top ten list for next week. Now, lets find the 10 best college football teams coming to week 8.

  1. Clemson – After completely crushing Georgia Tech by a 73-7 score it is very hard to see Clemson not ranked at the top. They are a great team and definitely one that is almost a lock ATS.
  2. Alabama – Alabama was able to take down Georgia in their last game in a battle of 2 vs 3. Look for the Crimson Tide to continue to build off of this success.
  3. Notre Dame – In what ended up being a very low scoring game the Fighting Irish won 12-7. In the win the Irish did not cover with Louisville covering the +16 and the game went on the under with a total of 62.
  4. Oklahoma State – Oklahoma State is coming off of a bye week. Now the Cowboys are one team that could potentially come into their week here really strong and establish them self as a Top Ten team long term.
  5. Texas A&M – The Aggies are coming to the game here after picking up a win with the last game over Mississippi State in a 28-14 score. The Aggies covered the -4.5 spread. The under was a winner as well at -13.5 under the total of 55.5.
  6. BYU – The Cougars are coming to the game here with a nice win over Houston by a score of 43-26. The Cougars ended up covering the -3 point spread. The total in their last game went over with a total set at 62.5.
  7. North Carolina –The Tar Heels are heading to the game here after losing their last game to Florida State by a 31-28 score. The Tar Heels did not cover as they were favored by -13.5 points. The total landed on the under with a total of 65 points.
  8. Cincinnati – The Bearcats did not play this past week due to COVID issues. Now, the Bearcats play SMU who has struggled quite a bit on the year.
  9. SMU – SMU is one team that can go either way in how they play. The last game for SMU ended up being a win, but the Mustangs failed to cover the spread.
  10. Georgia – Georgia has looked sloppy t times, but the second half of the game against Alabama was an embarrassment and now Georgia has fallen to being just barely in the top 10.
