Texas Tech at TCU 11/7/20 - College Football Picks & Predictions

The Texas Tech Red Raiders are set to visit Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth, Texas for a Big 12 clash against the TCU Horned Frogs. The Texas Tech Red Raiders come into this matchup with a 2-4 record, and they will be looking to rebound after dropping their recent home game against the Oklahoma Sooners, 62-28. QB Henry Colombi struggled to get much offense generated through the air as he threw for 227 yards, 2 TDs, and 2 interceptions. WR Erik Ezukanma was the top target for Colombi and the Red Raiders as he hauled in 7 catches for 88 yards.

The Texas Tech Red Raiders struggled on the defensive side of the ball against the Oklahoma Sooners as they allowed them to score 62 points and rack up a total of 559 yards of offense. DB Zech McPhearson and DB Eric Monroe led the way for the Texas Tech defense with 9 tackles each while also combining for 3 TFLs. The Red Raiders were able to get into the Oklahoma backfield a handful of times as DB Thomas Leggett and LB Riko Jeffers combined for 2.5 TFLs.

The TCU Horned Frogs come into this matchup with a 2-3 record, and they will be looking to continue their success after winning their recent road game against the Baylor Bears, 33-23. QB Max Duggan wasn’t asked to do much through the air as he connected on 14 of his 23 pass attempts for 138 yards and a TD. RB Darwin Barlow had a big game on the ground for the Horned Frogs as he ran for 117 yards and a TD on 16 carries.

The TCU Horned Frogs were solid on the defensive side of the ball against the Baylor Bears as they held them to 23 points and a total of 278 yards of offense. LB Dee Winters and Safety Trevon Moehrig led the way for the TCU defense with 8 tackles each while also combining for 2 TFLs. The secondary had a productive outing for the Horned Frogs as La’Kendrick Van Zandt hauled in an interception while Ar’Darius Washington had 5 tackles and 2 pass breakups.

The Texas Tech Red Raiders were absolutely destroyed in their latest game against the Oklahoma Sooners as they allowed them to score 62 points, and that should give a TCU offense some confidence as they have been finding their stride as of recent. The Horned Frogs have a dynamic QB in Max Duggan as he can air it out as well as hurt you on the ground, but their RBs stepped up against Baylor as Darwin Barlow looked like a featured RB while freshman star Zach Evans had a breakout game. Texas Tech has some questions at the QB position which is concerning considering the talent of the TCU secondary as they proved against Baylor how dangerous they are. The Horned Frogs have been inconsistent this season, but they are the better team at home. Final Score Prediction, TCU Horned Frogs win and cover ATS 41-24.
