Texas Tech at Arizona 9/14/19 - College Football Picks & Predictions

A shootout will be expected when the Texas Tech Raiders travel to Arizona Stadium to battle the Arizona Wildcats. The Red Raiders are leaning a little more on their defense with first year head coach Matt Wells at the helm. On Saturday, Texas Tech held UTEP scoreless until the final six minutes of a 38-3 home victory. The Red Raiders limited the Miners to just 54 yards through the air and 2-for-15 on third downs.

Sophomore QB Alan Bowman completed 30-for-45 passes for 260 yards and three touchdowns. T.J. Vasher contributed six catches for 78 yards and two scores.

The Arizona Wildcats have split their first two games to start the season and have scored 103 points. On Saturday, Arizona bounced back from a disappointing loss at Hawai’i to score a 65-41 home victory versus Northern Arizona. The Wildcats rolled up 720 yards of total offense and scored 51 points by halftime. Arizona will have to clean up 11 penalties for 127 yards.

Arizona RB Gary Brightwell rushed for 141 yards and a touchdown on just five carries. Dual threat QB Khalil Tate added three touchdowns for the Wildcats.

Texas Tech is improved defensively, but they have not faced any quality competition. Arizona won easily on Saturday, but allowed Northern Arizona to throw for 373 yards. Take the over on Saturday night. Look for tons of points and think this one is super exciting game unless you like defense. Final Score Prediction, Arizona Wildcats win in over game 41-40.
