The Warhawks are heading into the game here after losing to Army in the last game. The loss to Army was not that impressive for the Warhawks on either side of the ball. The defense for Monroe gave up a total of 37 points. The offense for the Warhawks only replied with a total of 7 points in the game.

The passing attack for the Warhawks did decent as Colby Suits went 14-19 for a total of 148 yards and the teams only touchdown. The rushing offense, though, was pretty much missing in the game with Josh Johnson leading the Warhawks in the rushing offense with 12 carries for 38 yards.

Texas State is heading into the game here after losing their opening game of the season. Granted, it ended up being a very high scoring affair that ended up with the final score being 51-48 after a double overtime game. In the game, though, it really showed the lack of defense for either one of the teams and that could make it hard for the Warhawks to be considered a major threat.

When it came to the passing attack the Texas State team did good on the day with Tyler Vitt throwing the ball really well. Vitt endedup going 26-39 for346 yards, 4 touchdowns, but he was picked off twice in the game. The rushing attack for the Bobcats was led by Brock Sturges who carried the ball 17 times for 67 yards and a touchdown.

The Bobcats defense has to start to step up in the game if they are going to win a lot of games this year. The problem is the Bobcats have really struggled in their last game and it will show in this game here. The other issue that the Bobcats have to take on is if their offense will have a let down based of the fairly weak defense from the Warhawks, but the let down most likely will not happen as the Warhawks defense is horrid. Final Score Prediction, Texas State Bobcats win and cover 42-14.
