Texas Longhorns at BYU Cougars 9/7/13 - Free College Football Picks, Odds, & Predictions
CFB: 7:00 PM EST September 7, 2013 TV: ESPN2
Maybe the biggest game of Week 2 College Football will feature the Texas Longhorns traveling to LaVelle Edwards Stadium to take on the BYU Cougars.
Texas Longhorns are a team who has managed to rake up 715 yards and 56 points in the first game. This really is a great statistic as the team completely dominated New Mexico State. However, the Longhorns may end up facing a strong opponent with the BYU defense who managed to hold their first opponent to 19 points and 223 yards. The problem is the Longhorns are led by David Ash who managed to dominate through the air. The defense for the Longhorns managed to only give up 346 yards, but the competion was below average at best.
The BYU defense, which is led by Van Noy, did manage to do really well, but they were playing against Virginia, which is not known as being a major offensive powerhouse like the Longhorns are. The problem for the Cougars is the offense which is led by QB Taysom Hill is going to struggle against the swarming defense which the Longhorns are planning on putting on the field. In fact, the Cougars only managed to rack up 362 yards and score a disappointing 16 points in the game which they could have easily pulled out the victory on.

Rough scheudle for BYU as they travel cross country in loss to Virginia last week and now get very good Texas team. Look for Texas offense to put up plentry points against very good BYU defense as QB David Ash leads balanced Lonhorns attack. BYU offense is downright terrible playing up-tempo isn't helping and QB Hill accuracy issues make it even worse. Final Score Prediction, Texas Longhorns win 23-13.
