Texas A&M at Auburn 12/5/20 - College Football Picks & Predictions

Last Updated: 12/04/2020 at 11:23 AM ET

Jordan-Hare Stadium will play host to a Saturday SEC Conference clash between the Texas A&M Aggies and the Auburn Tigers. The Aggies (6-1) suffered their only loss of the season at Alabama and have an outside shot of reaching the College Football Playoff. Last week, Texas A&M managed just 267 yards of total offense during a 20-7 home victory versus LSU.

Buddy Johnson put Texas A&M ahead 20-0 in the third quarter with a 15-yard interception return for a touchdown. Isaiah Spiller contributed 141 yards rushing on 27 attempts and a score.

The Auburn Tigers have won five of their eight games, but easily could own a losing record if not for a few favorable bounces. On Saturday, Auburn was completely overmatched during a 42-13 road loss against top-ranked Alabama. The Tigers were outgained by a 445-347 margin and turned the ball over twice in defeat.

Auburn QB Bo Nix threw for 227 yards and scored the only touchdown on a one-yard run with less than five minutes remaining. Anthony Schwartz caught five passes for 60 yards in a losing effort for the Tigers.

These two schools have split their ten all-time meetings and Auburn emerged victorious in College Station last year with a 28-20 victory. The Aggies have an extremely talented defense and I expect Kellen Mond to play much better against Auburn as Aggies playoff hopes stay alive with win. Final Score Prediction, Texas A&M Aggies win and cover ATS 30-20.
