The Tennessee Volunteers visit Jordan-Hare Stadium in Auburn, Alabama on Saturday for an SEC showdown with the No. 24 ranked Auburn Tigers. Tennessee dropped to 2-4 following its 24-13 loss to the Arkansas Razorbacks last Saturday. The Volunteers were scheduled to play the Texas A&M Aggies on Saturday November 14, but that was postponed and the Volunteers will not play again until facing Auburn. In the loss to Arkansas, Tennessee gave up 413 yards of total offense, while gaining just 292 yards of total offense and turning the ball over twice.

Quarterback Jarret Guarantano has passed for 956 yards with six touchdowns, three interceptions and has been sacked 12 times. Auburn improved to 4-2 following its 48-11 victory over the LSU Tigers on October 31st. Auburn had a bye November 7 and was scheduled to play Mississippi State on November 14th but that was postponed and the Tigers will have three weeks between games. Auburn is scoring an average of 28.7 points per game while allowing an average of 22.8 points per game. In the victory over LSU, Auburn gained 506 yards of total offense, while allowing just 347 yards of offense for LSU and forcing the Tigers into three turnovers.

Quarterback Bo Nix has passed for 1,407 yards with nine touchdowns, four interceptions and has been sacked 12 times. The leading rusher for Auburn is Tank Bigsby with 503 yards and five touchdowns, while Seth Williams is the leading receiver with 511 yards and three touchdown receptions. On defense, linebacker Zakoby McClain is the leader in tackles with 62 and is tied for the lead with linebacker Owen Pappoe in quarterback sacks with two each.

Auburn has had three weeks without playing a game, but will be facing a very weak Tennessee defense that is allowing an average of 31.5 points per game. The Volunteers offense is poor as well as Tennessee is scoring an average of just 20.7 points per game which is 115th in the nation.
