Temple at South Florida 10/23/21 - College Football Picks & Predictions

The Temple Owls will go on the road in week 8 to take on the University of South Florida Bulls. Temple comes into this game following a 52-3 blowout loss against the Cincinnati Bearcats last game played. Defensively the Owls were obliterated by Cincinnati allowing 542 total yards with 279 coming on the ground. Amir Tyler let all temple defenders with 11 tackles, while M.J. Griffin and Cody Wilson added seven tackles each.

Much like the defense temple struggled immensely on offense as quarterback D’Wan Mathis completed 16 of 27 passes for 120 yards, while throwing one interception. Justin Lynch chipped in completing two passes for 30 yards, while adding a team high 29 rushing yards on three carries.

The University of South Florida continues our homestand in week 8 with a 1-5 record on the year after losing four of the last five games played including three in a row. Quarterback Timmy McClain orchestrated the USF offense last came out completing 10 of 25 passes for 148 yards, while adding 24 yards rushing and one touchdown on 14 carries.

Jaren Mangham let all South Florida ball carriers with 75 yards and one touchdown on 13 carries. Xavier Weaver posted a team high 52 receiving yards on four catches, while DeMarcus Gregory and Yusef Terry combined 82 yards on four catches.
