In Thursday night college football action, the Syracuse Orange will travel to Carter-Finley Stadium to take on the NC State Wolfpack. The Orange have won three of their first five games and lost their only ACC Conference matchup at home versus Clemson. Last time out, Syracuse QB Tommy Devito threw four touchdown passes to four different receivers during a 41-3 home victory versus Holy Cross.
The Orange outgained the Crusaders by a 429-138 margin, but turned the ball over three times. The Syracuse rush defense limited Holy Cross to just 18 yards on 32 attempts.
The NC State Wolfpack come into this contest with the same record as Syracuse and falling short in their only conference battle at Florida State by 18 points. The Wolfpack briefly held a 6-3 lead in the second quarter, but allowed the Seminoles to rattle off 21 straight points. NC State held a slight advantage in first downs and turned the ball over twice.
NC State QB Bailey Hockman completed 21-of-40 passes for 208 yards and a touchdown. Devin Carter caught four passes for 68 yards in a losing effort for the Wolfpack.
