Syracuse at BC 11/24/18 - College Football Picks & Predictions

The Syracuse Orange visit Alumni Stadium in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts on Saturday to play the Boston College Eagles. The Orange were beaten by Notre Dame 36-3 on Saturday at Yankee Stadium. Syracuse played the majority of the game without its starting quarterback Eric Dungey, who suffered an upper body injury during the first quarter and did not return.

Boston College lost on Saturday to Florida State 22-21. The Eagles led late 21-16 but on the game’s last drive FSU quarterback Deondre Francois threw a touchdown pass of 74 yards with only 1:49 remaining to beat the Eagles. BC running back A.J. Dillon rushed for 116 yards and one touchdown and now has 1,052 yards rushing on the season in just nine games. Eric Dungey has thrown for 2,203 yards, 14 touchdowns and six interceptions. Moe Neal leads the Orange in rushing with 790 yards and five touchdowns, while Dungey has rushed for 698 yards and 12 TDs. Jamal Custis leads all receivers with 758 yards and five touchdowns.

Boston College quarterback Anthony Brown has thrown for 1,878 yards and 17 touchdowns and seven interceptions. The leading rusher is AJ Dillon with 1,052 yards and 10 touchdowns. The leading receiver is Kobay White with 31 receptions for 500 yards and three touchdowns. Jeff Smith has 19 receptions for 318 yards and five touchdowns.

Much of the outcome will be determined by the injury to Syracuse quarterback Eric Dungey. If the signal caller has the green light and can play, Syracuse is a much more dangerous team, however, if Dungey cannot go, the running game of A.J. Dillion combined with an effective passing attack give the Boston College Eagles the advantage. Final Score Prediction, Boston College Eagles win and cover ATS 27-16.
